LME Aluminum prices are rocketing higher, as soaring energy prices in Europe are resulting in smelter curtailments. Also – Morgan Stanley came out with a statement today that they thought aluminum would run at a 1M ton deficit this year – (revised from 700,000 ton deficit). LME Aluminum prices hit their highest level since October.
Aluminum is trading about $0.20 higher per pound.
